WHAT'S IN YOUR NAME?

Mykola Bashan was born on October 9th, 1904 in Kamianets-Podilsky, died on November 23 1983 in Kyiv. He is a poet, a writer, a translator, a political and culture figure, a full member of the Academy of Sciences. One of the most prominent representatives of the literary renaissance of the 1920s, he wrote screenplays, edited the journal ‘Cinema”.
With the outbreak of war in 1941 Bazhan emerged as a leading political figure. He was the editor of the newspaper “Za Radiansky Ukrainu” and the head of the Writers’ Union of Ukraine. From 1958 he headed the editorial board of the Ukrainian Soviet Encyclopedia publishing house and served as the editor-in-chief of many of its publications.

There are some interesting facts about Bazan Street. The first name of this street was New Street. You know famous Ukrainian a poet Mykola Bazan, so now the street is called after his name.
There are many wonderful cafes, restaurants, some
places where you can have a meal! One of the most famous and favourite places to have a meal is a fast food restaurant McDonald’s. All
inhabitants like this place where they can taste
very delicious food.

flowers for your girlfriend, you may visit a flower shop “ Flora” where you can buy different kinds of flowers from all over the world.
The community service system is developed. You can go along the street by buses and mini-buses №407,45(long),220 and others.
The underground stations Vyrlytsia, Kharkivska, Pozniaky, Osokorky and Slavutych are also in Bazan Street.
A new church was built in the street not so long ago. Here you can think about your problems.
Bazan Street is situated in a new residential district.
You can see many new high-storeyed buildings with a lot of inhabitants in them! As a rule new houses are built of glass and concrete. They give the street an attractive and picturesque appearance.
The traffic in the street is very heavy.
All kinds of vehicles ride up and down Bazan Street: lorries, taxes, private cars. Finally, speaking about this street I would like to mention if you are looking for a silent place Bazan Street isn’t for you.
