Your name is Kyiv. Your address is Darnytskyi district, Kharkivskyi residential area.
Kyiv
is the curious mixture of the antique and the present which lends our native city such a specific charm and appeal, catches the eye at every step.
I invite everybody to the present, modern area of the city, which appeared on the map in1980.
This is my entry article to the project. Telling the history of the streets in the form of a tourist guidance I have used proverbs, statements, quotations, which help us better understand and feel the sense, the target of the project.
“God made the country,
and man made the town” (W. Cowper)
The first point of the tour is to get acquaintance with 9 streets in order to catch the glimpse of our massive, our area, which was designed and constructed on the sandy desert and moors.

there’s a way.” (a proverb)
How nice it is to discover that the most charming streets are named after historical figures: Anna Akhmatova, Mykola Bazhan, Lev Revutskyi, Petro Grygorenko, Larysa Rudenko, Olexander Koshyts, Olexander Verbytskyi, Borys Hmyria, Mykhaylo Dragomanov.

what he needs and returns home to find it.” (J. Moore)

Some very specific streets are a true pearl of the area. One of them is an administrative district centre operating all life importance questions. It’s Ol. Koshyts Street.

is the shortest way home” (a proverb)
You feel a sense of triumph at all sights in
A. Akhmatova and M.Dragomanov streets.

we should have a clean city.” (a proverb)
Mykola Bazhan Street – a scenic breathtaking highway which takes you to the international airport ‘Boryspil” and across the “Yuzhnyi Bridge” to the right bank of the Dnipro river.
“Even though big cities are polluted,
they are much more exciting”.
You cannot simply pass through the space where amazing sights are to your observation are preserved in L. Revutskyi, L. Rudenko and P. Grygorenko streets.
